India : Became a Hotspot for Manufacturing

India Becomes Manufacturing Hub Corning Gorilla Glass

India became a hotspot for manufacturing Corning Gorilla Glass. Corning Gorilla Glass has arrived to set up its manufacturing hub in India. So now India is also becoming a part of producing Corning Gorilla Glass products. This move is expected to put India in a great position in the global tech supply chain and also offer significant growth opportunities and technological advancements.

India Became Hotspot for Manufacturing

India is a fast-growing market for electronics, especially smartphones, which require high-quality and durable glass for their screens. Corning, a US-based company that specializes in glass, ceramics, and related materials, has decided to invest Rs. 1000 crores (about $113 million) in setting up its first Gorilla Glass manufacturing plant in India, in the state of Telangana.

Gorilla Glass is a tough and scratch-resistant glass that is used by many leading smartphone brands, such as Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi. By establishing a local production facility, Corning aims to meet the increasing demand for Gorilla Glass in India, as well as to reduce the costs and time of importing the glass from other countries. This move will also create new employment in the region and support the development of the local glass industry.

Moreover, Corning's investment will enhance India's role in the global tech supply chain, as it will enable India to produce and export high-value-added products, such as Gorilla Glass, to other markets. This will also attract more foreign direct investment and innovation in the electronics sector, offering significant growth opportunities and technological advancements for India.
